Linking Fault Tree Events to Reliability Prediction Subsystems or Parts

In some cases, events in your fault tree analysis may be related to subsystems or parts you've modeled using Reliability Prediction analysis.

You can directly link events in a Fault Tree to Reliability Prediction Subsystems or Parts.

You can selectively link your Fault Tree events to a Reliability Prediction Subsystem or Part using the Link to Reliability Prediction checkbox in the Event Properties. 

Select the event in your Fault Tree that you want to link. In the Properties pane, check Link to Reliability Prediction.

When you click the Link to Reliability Prediction checkbox, the Subsystem / Part selector appears.

Select the Subsystem or Part to which you want to link your Fault Tree event.

Once linked, the Fault Tree event will remain linked to the Reliability Prediction Subsystem or Part. This means that the Fault Tree event will use the failure data from the Reliability Prediction Subsystem or Part. If you want to unlink the Fault Tree event from the Reliability Prediction Subsystem or Part, clear the Link to Reliability Prediction checkbox in the Properties pane.
