Fault Tree

Fault Tree analysis (FTA) is a sophisticated, deductive analysis tool for risk assessment. Fault Tree analysis is a top-down failure analysis technique. A Fault Tree diagram is drawn using logic gates (AND, OR, etc.) in conjunction with associated failure events as inputs. By evaluating potential failure events along with their associated probabilities, the likelihood of a catastrophic system event occurring can be assessed. Commonly used in high-risk industries such as nuclear and aerospace, Fault Tree is also used in other industries concerned with safety, reliability, and risk reduction. Fault Tree analysis involves a highly computational back-end engine for determination of risk probabilities and the event paths that can lead to system failures.

Relyence Fault Tree provides a framework for you to manage and perform Fault Tree Analyses. Relyence Fault Tree supports conventional fault tree analysis by default and also supports fault tree analysis based on SAE ARP4754A and ARP4761.
