Modeling Early Life
Relyence Reliability Prediction enables you to assess the early life failures according the Telcordia standard. With Relyence, you can apply the early life factor data to any reliability prediction model.
From the Sidebar, click Properties to access the Reliability Prediction Properties dialog.
In the Calculation Properties section, select I have Early Life data and specify the Telcordia upper confidence level value.
Click Save to save the Reliability Prediction Properties change.
For any Analysis Tree item, click Properties and on the Analysis Tree Properties pane, in the Early Life Data section, select Unit has Early Life Burn-in Data, if needed, and enter relevant data including Burn-in Time and Burn-in Temperature.
For any Part, go to the Part Form and in the Early Life Data section, select Device has Early Life Burn-in Data, if needed, and enter relevant data including Burn-in Time and Burn-in Temperature.
If you have early life data you wish to use, click Analysis Properties and then click Reliability Prediction when Relyence Reliability Prediction is active. Select the I have Early Life data checkbox. The Early Life data fields will appear on the Subsystem Properties forms and the Part forms.

For parts that use Early Life data, the Pi EL factor will show on the Pi Factors dialog and on Pi Factors fields on your reports.
You can also select the Include first year dropout report in the Report Options dialog to add the dropout report for each subsystem to your report. The first year dropout report data is computed using the early life data entered. You can also view the first year dropout as a graph by selecting the First Year Dropout Rate from the Reliability Prediction widgets in Relyence Dashboard.
