Using FMEA SmartSuggest to Add Product or Process Characteristics
From the Process Flow Table and Control Plan table worksheets in Relyence PFMEA, SmartSuggest allows you to identify Product Characteristics and Process Characteristics that are not already assigned to a selected Process Step and add them, if needed.
When on the Process Flow Table or Control Plan, to display the PFMEA SmartSuggest panel to the right of the worksheet, you can use the SmartSuggest button in the toolbar to select Show Suggestions.
The PFMEA SmartSuggest panel is displayed to the right of the Process Flow Table or Control Plan worksheet.
The PFMEA SmartSuggest pane is useful on the Process Flow Table in all cases and on the Control Plan table when a Process Step, PFMEA Product Characteristic, or PFMEA Process Characteristic record is selected. The PFMEA SmartSuggest pane will indicate "No suggested Product Characteristics found" if a Control record is selected on the Control Plan table.
The Characteristic Type field allows two choices:
- Product
- Process
You can use the Search field to search by Name or other Characteristics fields.
The table will show the relevant Product or Process Characteristics.
Regardless of the Characteristics shown in the table, the following links appear just above the table:
- Select all - clicking this checks all records in the table
- Clear all - clicking this clears all checked records in the table
Below the table are two buttons to connect or insert Product Characteristics or Process Characteristics.
- Connect - to replace the currently selected Characteristic in the Process Flow Table or Control Plan to the Characteristic selected on the PFMEA SmartSuggest pane
- Insert - to insert the Characteristic selected on the PFMEA SmartSuggest pane
When finished reviewing or adding Product Characteristics or Process Characteristics, click the X in the top right corner of the PFMEA SmartSuggest pane to close it.
