Using the RBD Analytics Calculator

For any RBD, you can access the built-in Analytics Calculator for computing additional life data analysis results, such as Bearing Life (BX) for calculations like B10 Life, Failure Rate, Mean Life, Reliability and Warranty Time.

You can access the Analytics Calculator from the RBD tab or from the RBD Plot tab.

From the RBD tab, to access the Analytics Calculator, click the Analytics button in the RBD toolbar and choose Calculator.

Or, from the RBD Plot tab, to access the Analytics Calculator, click the Analytics button in the toolbar.

The Analytics dialog appears.

Select the metric you wish to compute from the tabs on the left. Then enter the input parameters requested.

The available metrics, the requested input parameters, and the resulting values are as follows:

Availability
- Input Parameters: End Time
- Results: resulting Value
Bearing Life (BX)
- Input Parameters: Bearing Life (BX) Percent
- Results: resulting Value
Failure Rate
- Input Parameters: End Time
- Results: resulting Value
Hazard Rate
- Input Parameters: End Time
- Results: resulting Value
Mean Life
- Input Parameters: none
- Results: resulting Value
Reliability
- Input Parameters:
  - Calculate: Reliability, Conditional Reliability
  - End Time or Start Time and Additional Time
- Results: resulting Value
Unavailability
- Input Parameters: End Time
- Results: resulting Value
Unreliability
- Input Parameters:
  - Calculate: Unreliability, Conditional Unreliability
  - End Time or Start Time and Additional Time
Warranty Time
- Input Parameters:
  - Calculate: Availability, Reliability
  - Required Availability or Required Reliability
- Results: resulting Value

Once you have the input parameters set for the desired result, set your preferred calculation options in the Simulation section. For further details on these calculation options, see the Simulation calculation options described in Performing RBD Calculations.

Click Calculate to perform the calculation. The results will appear in the Results section.

If preferred, click Save to save the input parameters and resulting value.

When you have finished performing calculations, click Close to close the Analytics dialog.
